The Delay Component allows you to create the sound of a repeating, decaying echo.
Control |
Function |
Default/Range |
---|---|---|
High-Pass Frequency (L/R) |
Frequencies below this setting are attenuated. You can use this to simulate distance. As distance increases, high and lower range frequencies drop off. |
Default = 20.0 Hz Range = 20.0 Hz to 20.0 kHz |
Low-Pass Frequency (L/R) |
Frequencies above this setting are attenuated. You can use this to simulate distance. As distance increases, high and lower range frequencies drop off. |
Default = 16 kHz Range = 20.0 Hz to 20.0 kHz |
Delay (L/R) |
Sets the time the wet signal is delayed from the dry signal. The Delay time can be set directly, by adjusting the Tempo, and by changing the Note value. If you change the Delay time, the Tempo changes, but not the Note value. The Max Delay of 60 seconds is set in the Properties. |
Default Mono = Default Left = 250 ms Default Right = 260 ms Range = .333 ms to 60.00 s |
Tempo (L/R) |
Sets the beats per minute (BPM) time interval. The BPM is based on one quarter note per beat. If you change the Tempo, the Delay changes. |
Default Mono = Default Left = 240 bpm Default Right = 231 bpm Range = 30.0 bpm to 240 bpm |
Tempo Tap (L/R) |
Allows you to set the tempo by tapping with a mouse pointer. |
N/A |
Note (L/R) |
Sets the time the wet signal is delayed from the dry signal. When you change the Note value, the Tempo changes if you set the Delay first, and the Delay changes if you set the Tempo first. The Note value is not changed by changing the Delay or Tempo. |
Default = 1/4 Range = 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, (triplets) 1/2T, 1/4T, 1/8T, (dotted) 1/2.,1/4., 1/8. |
Regeneration (L/R) |
Sets the amount of signal sent back into the delay. |
Default = 20% Range = 0 - 100% |
Link (Stereo only) |
Links the following parameters:
|
Default = off Range = off / on |
Tempo Link (Stereo only) |
Only on the Stereo (Out or In / Out) Delay. Links the Left and Right Tempo. |
Default = off Range = off / on |
Dry/Wet Mix |
Changes the balance between the dry input signal and wet delayed signal. |
Default = 100% Range = 0 - 100% |
Master Bypass |
Bypasses the controls of the Delay Effect Component. |
Default = no Range = no / bypassed |

Choices |
---|---|---|
I/O Configuration |
Sets the input to output configuration. When you select one of the stereo options, many of the controls are presented in Left and Right parameters. In addition, you are able to link some of the left/right parameters and the left/right tempos. |
Mono In/Mono Out Mono In/Stereo Out Stereo In/Stereo Out |
Max Delay (Seconds) |
Sets the upper limit for the Delay Time parameter. |
1 - 60 |
NOTES:
The table below shows the Delay times for 30, 60 and 120 BPM for each Note value. In addition, the table shows the Delay range available for each Note value when the Tempo value is at its minimum (30 BPM) and its maximum (60 BPM).
The shortest delay possible when adjusting the Note and Tempo values is 31.2 ms with the Note at 1/32 and the Tempo at 30 BPM. However, the minimum Delay you can have is 0.333 ms, and the maximum is 60 s, which means you can continue to adjust the Delay in both directions when the Tempo and Note values have reached their limits.

The table below gives you the values you can enter, via the control pin inputs, to set the control to the desired position. In addition, you can use the output for controlling other components. All the data is taken using a Custom Controls Component connected to the output side of the Control Pins.
Value - Taken from a Generic Float knob with a custom range equal to the range of the control or greater.
String - Taken from a Text Display control.
Position - Taken from a Position knob.
